August 12, 2008

IF you are a computer person And have got Windows vista in your work place and say you want to run some 16 or 8 bit DOS applications in it , Then the Title 'WOW' becomes 'HOW' because windows vista 32-bit can run 16-bit DOS apps but you can not full screen it And if it is 64-bit vista you can NOT even run the DOS app. But now you can run your fav. app or program in vista by using a asimple DOS emulator called DOSBOX, it is a freeware,i.e,you need not pay anything for it.

It is a fair easy to use(if you are familiar with command prompt) .

Just install DOSBOX migrate it your app and run it , It supports fullscreen function with a shortcut of alt+enter.

For example, if I wish to run TC++ on Dosbox i will need to type the following commands at the Dosbox main window.(shown in image above)

I will advice you to press Ctrl+F8 And Ctrl+F12 at the startup so as to avoid problem durin your work.

Click here to Download DOSBOX

Click here to Download TC++
(Make sure that you extract The TC folder on your D drive only)
